Elkhorn Creek Outfitters is all about Family, Friends, and Community. What started with an outing for a Sunday School class, led to where we are today. Todd, Gray, and Adam realized that they had a calling to get people outside and on the creek. From that moment, they knew that there was a way to make it easier. That is where CREEKING MADE EASY was born. The guys at Elkhorn Creek Outfitters believe in making the world better for others, every day.
The Elkhorn Creek in Franklin County has some of the best kayaking in Kentucky. Our number one experience and trip is from the Forks of Elkhorn to Knight’s Bridge. We are adding trips all the time, keep checking back.
No matter your experience or how many times you have been down the creek, we want to help make your experience the best it can be. Every trip is with an owner; we love to be on the creek!
One last thing – We believe in giving back to our community!! If you are a nonprofit organization and looking for a deal, get a hold of Elkhorn Creek Outfitters and we will work with you.
Meet the Team
Adam, Gray, and Asher

The Scotts – We love the outdoors; our #1 trip destination is to ANY National Park. While we wish could be full time on the Creek, Adam is a Project Manager and the Director of the Kentucky Water and Wastewater Operators Association. Gray is a senior at Franklin County High School and loves whitewater kayaking. Asher is a 7th Grader and is really finding his way on the Creek. We can’t leave out Leanne. While she might not be on the Creek with Elkhorn Creek Outfitters, Leanne keeps us sane from all of our activities! She’s a Psychological Practitioner with the Scott Group.
Todd and Will
The McDaniel Family – The creek has been a part of Todd’s life for more than 35 years, and if he had it his way, he’d spend every day out on the Elkhorn. As one of Elkhorn Creek Outfitters co‑founders, Todd brings a lifetime of knowledge, skill, and respect for the creek to every trip. Todd has spent decades learning the wildlife, the seasons, and the rhythm of the water, and he loves sharing that connection with others—whether it’s someone’s very first paddle or a seasoned adventurer looking for a new experience. His passion for safety, stewardship, and genuine outdoor fun makes every outing something special.
Will started his creek journey early, sitting in the kayak with Todd at just six years old. Now he’s growing into his own role on the water, learning more with every trip. Beginning so young has given him a deep respect for the creek, and he’s excited to share that same love of the outdoors with anyone who books a trip with us.
